Telecentric Lens

Telecentric lenses are specialized optical lenses categorized into object-side telecentric, image-side telecentric, and bi-telecentric types based on their optical structure. Their core characteristic is that the principal rays travel parallel to the optical axis. Through precise optical design, telecentric lenses achieve nearly parallel light propagation, significantly reducing or eliminating parallax. This allows the image size of an object to remain constant at varying distances, making telecentric lenses indispensable for high-precision measurement and inspection applications that require strict dimensional accuracy.
